Marky Mark’s Contract Had To Do With Him Getting Paid $1.5 Million For “All The Money In The World” Reshoots

Marky Mark’s team hasn’t said anything about the story that he got $1.5 million while his co-star Michelle Williams got under $1,000 for reshoots on All The Money In The World. But why should Marky Mark’s team open their mouths to the media when “sources” are out there defending them. Sources are now saying don’t hate the player, hate the game. And yes, I brought out that saying in 2018. I am your cool auntie who loves that hip new rapper Lil’ Bow Wow and still considers her bedazzled Motorola Razr her prized possession. Boo ya!

USA Today reported earlier this week that when Ridley Scott made the decision to de-creep All The Money In The World (although, Ridley didn’t completely de-creep it since Marky Mark is still in it) by replacing Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer, the cast and crew agreed to do reshoots in Europe. But while Michelle agreed to do it for almost nothing ($80 per day, which is nothing in millionaire movie star world), Marky Mark refused to do it for pennies. Marky’s agent at WME, which is also Michelle’s agency, negotiated a payment of $1.5 million for 10 days of reshoots.

The Wrap and USA Today have more details, and according to their sources, it all came down to Marky Mark’s contract. A source told The Wrap that Michelle’s original contract required her to do reshoots if needed, but Marky’s didn’t, so he was able to renegotiate when Kevin Spacey’s performance was dropped in the gutter. The source said that Marky was able to get the producers to burp up an extra $1.5 million because he took a pay cut to be in the movie in the first place, had more scenes with Christopher and is a big box office draw.

That source is right about Marky Mark being a big box office draw, because so far his fan-bros have really showed up for him and have helped the movie to bring in a whopping $29 million (the production budget was reportedly $50 million).

USA Today added that Marky and his agent, Ari Emanuel (aka the real Ari Gold from Entourage), had the producers’ by their huevos because his contract also stated that he had co-star approval. So Marky would not approve Christopher Plummer until the producers stuffed $1.5 million between his meaty tits. A source said:

“What he said was, ‘I will not approve Christopher Plummer unless you pay me.’ And that’s how he fucked them.”

Sources told TMZ that even though Marky and Michelle are at the same agency, Ari didn’t tell her agent that he was getting such a big chunk of cash. The sources said that agents don’t really do that and their loyalty lies with their client. TMZ’s sources also claimed that Ridley was told that everyone was doing the reshoots for next to nothing. He’s now pissed and mad that Marky got so much cheese.

I know that many of us see Marky Mark as a serious thespian who makes important cinematic masterpieces like Daddy’s Home 2 and Transformers: The Last Knight for the sake of his art, and not for the sake of his checking account, but well… Marky’s about that money and it is a business. What’s really crazy to me is that the studio gave him so much power, like the power to approve Christopher Plummer. I bet Christopher Plummer loved that. It’s like a Michelin star chef waiting for a teenage burger flipper at McDonald’s to say that they cooked the filet mignon correctly and are good enough to cook next to him (no offense to teenage burger flippers at McDonald’s).

The studio should’ve told Marky to fuck himself with his money demands, and replaced him with a My Buddy doll in 70s drag. Nobody would’ve known the difference. Scratch that, we would’ve known the difference, because the doll would’ve given a good performance.

“That source is right about Marky Mark being a big box office draw,”

    NO, not really:

—–“Thanks to a string of box office disappointments, Wahlberg is this year’s most overpaid actor: His three wide releases prior to June 1, 2017, returned just $4.40 at the box office for every $1 he was paid on them. With disappointments including 2016’s oil spill drama Deepwater Horizon, which barely out-earned its estimated $110 million budget, Wahlberg’s multi-million dollar paydays look mighty expensive.”—–

He was one of the producers of Boardwalk Empire. That was a great show.

    And drinks.

  5. ThenTheLordMadeYolettie

From what i have seen, he’s actually a really good producer. I mean ive seen his name attached to very quality and successful projects.

  6. The Departed, a Boston “tough guy” plays a Boston “tough guy” it was a real stretch

  7. ThenTheLordMadeYolettie

I believe a few agents have been exposed/fired already. ETA i googled and its 3 (if you count Terry Crews assailant who only got suspended for a quick minute and interestingly works at Mahky’s agency WME)

  8. ThenTheLordMadeYolettie

He has an oscar nom???? For what?

  9. Being required to do reshoots were in his contracts but not payment for them. I don’t like Mark but this is simply a contract issue. Everyone did what their contracts required of them. The thing most people are overlooking in their outrage is that we don’t know what they were paid overall. Being paid more for reshoots doesn’t mean he was paid more than her overall. They didn’t pay Mark the salary he wanted for the movie so it doesn’t seem like they were throwing money at him and ripping off the woman.

  10. Dirk Diggler-Kojak

Anybody who doesn’t see the double standard is either terribly dense or hypocritical.

  11. Dirk Diggler-Kojak

He was a hustler and he’s still hustling. By all accounts, he works in the right town.

Michelle Williams should sign with a competing agency after being screwed that way.

  13. ScarJo, KStew, Emma Roberts, Bryce Dallas Howard, Adam Sandler, and a laundry list of others.

  14. He looks like Peter Berg in this picture.

  15. That’s what I think. Hopefully this blunder will cost him far more than $1.5 million in future lost earnings.

  16. I wonder if they cost less. If so it’s doubly brilliant.

  17. Bunny Rabbit

I get you. I feel the same way about Jonah Hill.

  18. They should be paying all those actors big bucks for having to re-shoot. They’re not the ones who originally cast a pedophile. And I wonder how long it took to re-shoot and whether her pay even constituted minimum wage.

  19. More like “greedy motherfucker”.

  20. Spray on abs

MK always finds the most flattering photo’s.

  21. I did wank to him a long time ago (and I laughed to and at him during his underwear days). I guess he brings joy to people, LOL.

  22. yeap, better agent, better contract

  23. Mahogany? Loved that movie. It´s crap that elevates camp to a new level.

  24. Frankenforehead.

  25. clavin klein sucked plenty out of him, george clooney too most likely…. but hey, he´s a star
