Gal Gadot Intentionally Waited To Respond To James Cameron’s “Wonder Woman” Comments

Wonder Woman was one of the biggest films of 2017; it made almost $822 million worldwide, got mostly good reviews and is locked down for a sequel. But about two months after Wonder Woman’s release, James Cameron decided to verbally crap all over her good time, saying the film wasn’t really the feminist celebration people thought it was.

WW director Patty Jenkins slapped back at James. Gal Gadot kept quit until now. It turns out she was operating under a “Don’t feed the troll” mentality.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly for their Entertainers of the Year issue, she was asked why she didn’t weigh in on James’ comments about Wonder Woman being an “objectified icon.” Gal explained:

“Because I didn’t want to give him the stage. First of all, I’m a big fan of his work. His movies are great. He was very innovative in many things that he did, and I’ve got nothing but great things to say about the creative and professional side of his work. When it happened, the timing of when it happened, he was promoting another movie of his. It was like he was looking for publicity and I just didn’t want to give him the stage.”

James was being interviewed about an upcoming Terminator reboot when he made his WW comments. That still-untitled Terminator film isn’t scheduled to be released until 2019. You can’t blame James for diverting into an unrelated conversation. Like, unless you have breaking information on that melty robot police officer, what else are you going to talk about? But back to Gal’s statement…

He “was” very innovative. Is that shade? I want to believe it is. Wonder Woman stands for truth and justice, and I choose to believe that was Gal’s way knocking James’ ego down a peg,

  1. I thought WW was the worst film I’ve seen in ages. Long and dreadful. And I must have missed the feminist message, because all I’ve seen is just another a hot chick movie. Again. I do like Gal though. But the movie was crap IMO.

  2. Spaz de la Whoreta

Normally, I’d agree, but I read this article where Hamilton made it sound like she and Cameron were on a break when he got with Suzy Amis, but then Cameron cheated on Amis with her.

Either way, it sounds like the fucker can’t be without a woman.

Cameron’s first wife was Sharon Williams, whom he met when she worked as a waitress in a truckers’ bar and he was still an 18-year-old lorry driver.

They were married for 12 years, but they split when he started making The Terminator after the idea came to him in a dream, and he got together with his second wife, Terminator producer Gale Anne Hurd.

Together they made Aliens, but the marriage imploded when they worked on The Abyss together. Within months, he had fallen for Kathryn Bigelow when he went scouting for actors on a film she was working on.

They married in August 1989, but by the time he had starting producing Terminator 2 a year later, the marriage had soured and he was rumoured to be involved with the film’s leading lady, Linda.

  3. I have not seen WW yet, because right now I will not give either DC or Hollywood money or time (other than writing mean stuff about both on this site) and I have also forgotten what James Cameron has said because I don’t care about what some rich guy has to say about anything women related. However that’s some really hot, hot pink she’s wearing and I like it.

  4. James Cameron needs to shove the tip of Titantic up his ego-inflated jealous asshole.

  5. Thank you! I never knew there was a dress code to be a feminist!

  6. greppinwolf

Revlon just signed her to be the face of everything them.

  7. why does everyone think their nose isn’t ok? it seems like an odd fixation to have in the overall fixation about supposedly defective body parts…

  8. you think?

  9. Bella and love the classy shade. Something about her makes me want to be her friend and her lover. Not just cuz she’s gorgeous she has that IT factor

  10. DuchessGummyBuns

I’m speaking from my personal experiences. A lot of powerlifters and body builder women are tauruses.

  11. DuchessGummyBuns

I would say its like 80% real.

  12. DuchessGummyBuns

you ain’t wrong. Also I find them to be pretty self righteous and kind of humourless.

  13. Upside-down Flower

I don’t think alot of women would look good in all that pretty pink. But, she pulls it off very well.

It’s so cheery on this gloomy cold day.

  14. Upside-down Flower

Gal was exactly right in not reacting with a comment/statement to a bitter asshole.

Putting space in-between someone’s bitter or negative comment or even not commenting takes that person out of being dragged into the nativity and nastiness of the commenter. i know. My sister is that kind of a person. It’s so easy to snap back at her. Then she makes me the villain. I think she lack the empathy gene. I’m serious. Unless, it’s about her..

Gal showed class and took the high road of not getting pulled into JC’s negative web that he seemed to want to suck Gal into and anyone who responded to his unnecessary opinions.

    Well done, Gal.

  15. Petunia Van Winkle

She can kick everyone’s else in those heels, that’s bad ass. Gal was in the Israeli military, she knows what’s up.

  16. Gigi La Moore

Sure it is. Feminists wear all types of shoes.

  17. I see London, I see France, I see tits…

  18. You’re gushy over her.. she’s boring.
    So are super hero movies.
    C’est la vie

  19. I will never understand why people who don’t like something feel the need to share that information with someone who clearly does like something.

  20. This gives me such anxiety.

  21. newcitycoast

Gosh this lady is so pretty.

  22. She looks like Fran Drescher with gums…don’t get the hype and am sick of super hero crappola.

  23. GardeningGirl

    Fuck off, James!

  24. GardeningGirl
