Showbiz Spy reports Madonna is set to perform with Britney Spears in the summer, according to reports.
The Material Girl hitmaker, 50, is determined to mend her reputation in the UK following her recent divorce from husband Guy Ritchie.
So, the superstar has arranged to share the stage with Spears on some of the Toxic singer’s global Circus tour.
A source tells British tabloid the Daily Mirror, “Choreographers have been asked to create an out-of-this-world dance routine for Britney and Madonna.
“When Britney joined Madonna on stage for her Sticky and Sweet tour it was very sedate. This is going to be a high energy dance routine - getting back to what they are both good at, performing.”
Pop Crunch reports Jamie Spears’ control over daughter Britney’s upcoming Circus World Tour has driven her concert director and dance choreographer to quit, tabloid spies claim.
Tour director Wade Robson and lead choreographer Andre Fuentes, who have worked with Britney since the start of her career, jumped ship on The Spearses due to Jamie’s micromanagement, rules, curfews, drug tests, and over controlling nature, insiders reveal in this week’s edition of the National Enquirer.
“Jamie Spears is getting a reputation as a stage dad,” revealed a source. “It’s embarrassing for Britney.”
As Britney’s court-appointed conservator, Jamie is responsible for all decisions regarding his daugher’s finances and professional life.
Britney Spears flew to Louisiana Sunday with her two sons, Jayden James, 3, and Sean Preston, 2. The pop star is believed to be in her home town to attend the rumored New Year’s wedding of her brother, Bryan Spears, and his fiancé, Graciella Sanchez.
Sources say the couple recently began seriously dating. They have known each other for several years as Sanchez is the manager of Bryan’s younger sister, ‘Zoey 101’ actress Jamie Lynn Spears.
The entire Spears family, including Jamie Lynn’s 6-month-old daughter Maddie and fiancé Casey Aldridge, are expected to attend the ceremony.
Britney Spears is said to be “angry and jealous” over her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s new girlfriend, Victoria Prince. Sources say the pop star is upset with Federline as they were considering giving their relationship another shot when he began dating the former volleyball star.
“Britney is furious with Kevin. They were seeing a counselor with the idea of getting back together. When she recently returned from court performances in Japan, she learned he’d been out with a new blonde,” an insider claims. “Britney asked Kevin why he is seeing this woman. Kevin just shrugged it off, saying he is not married and free to do what he wants.”
Spears and Federline were married in 2004 and have two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. They were divorced in 2007.
Lindsay Lohan said “Britney Spears is an amazing talent, and she has gone through a lot, (just as I have) in the public eye. It teaches young girls and boys that there are certain things in life that you should not let get in the way of your dreams and accomplishments. Also that you need to take care of yourself before anyone else. You have to look at yourself in the mirror and see who you really are. Stripped of all the distractions in life. So YAY Britney for just being you and still following through with your dreams.”
There is really not much news going around but Circus did get to #1 on the World Chart! So congrats to another #1 on a chart for Britney!

Britney Spears is forfeiting a night out on New Year’s Eve to look after her children.
The pop star is set to stay home on December 31 with sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, while their father Kevin Federline - who has sole custody of the children - parties with new girlfriend Victoria Prince in Las Vegas.
A source close to Britney and her ex-husband Kevin told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Kevin has been getting on much better with Britney recently, so he didn’t want to risk setting their relationship back by mentioning Victoria.
“And he knows she’s desperate to see the boys over Christmas, so he’s letting her visit them at his home over the festive period.
“He then added she could have them on New Year’s Eve, as if it was a great favour.”
It was recently revealed that the 27-year-old singer - who is currently enjoying a successful career comeback following the release of her new album ‘Circus’ - has asked Kevin to rekindle their relationship and move back in with her.
However, Kevin is apparently not interested in giving their romance a second chance.
He said recently: “There were times when I was up and down about it, but I just figure I’ve made all the right decisions.”
Some of the biggest singer/songwriters in pop history have visited “American Idol” over the past few seasons: Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi and even Bono.
But while judge Simon Cowell said during a conference call Wednesday (December 17) that the show has never been able to nail down the one mentor it has tried to get “every year” to help the kids on the show — ex-Beatle Paul McCartney — he has big hopes for this year’s slate of mentors. Specifically, he has one name in mind that he would love to see on the marquee: Britney Spears.
“She would, literally, be first on the list as far as I’m concerned in any capacity,” Cowell said. He didn’t actually divulge who would appear as mentors/performers for the upcoming season — which kicks off January 13 — but he said the door is open any week for Britney to drop in. “I would love to see her mentor the contestants, but if she doesn’t want to do that, and she wants to come on the show and perform, I would welcome her anytime.”
Part of the reason Cowell is so open to Spears stopping by is that when she appeared on his British talent show “X-Factor” recently, “The buzz we had on our show when she came on was extraordinary. And even with all the stuff that’s gone on with her the past two years, there was more excitement and interest in her than I’ve seen in anyone in years. She would be very, very welcome.”
McCartney and Spears are at the top of the list, but Cowell said he’d also love to have another recent “X-Factor” guest make her way to “Idol”: Beyoncé. “We just recently had Beyoncé on the British version of the show. … [She] was absolutely incredible. … You want those kinds of artists. I’d like people with personalities.”
He also opened the door for a couple of past judges/mentors he’d like to see come back: Lionel Richie and filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

The show is a form of therapy, letting fans travel with her “through her fall from grace and her eventual rehabilitation.”
Top fashion designers Donatella Versace and Dolce & Gabana - who have supplied clothes for Britney’s recent Vanity Fair photoshoot, have been called upon to design the costumes for the tour - all 12 of them.
The tour kicks off March 3rd, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Almost all of the tickets have gone on sale for every show on the tour list (even the European gigs), so make sure you look up the concert closest to you and get yours ASAP before they sell out (because they will sell out)!

I’m not hating or anything, this guy has been a godsend to Britney for the past 12 years. So, let’s listen to what he has to say, shall we?
When asked about Britney’s second single “Circus,” Larry says: “I believe that that’s the best song she has had in the past five years.” - Guess he didn’t hear “Gimme More!” Actually, that makes sense - he was cut off at that time.
“There are songs that you hear that just slap you across the face and that’s what ‘Circus’ is, continues Larry. “It is an undeniable smash!”
“At the end of the day, I think she is America’s pop princess, and the world’s pop princess, and this just reconfirms it to everyone who doubted it,” said Larry to the Associated Press yesterday.
Rudolph credits the documentary “For The Record” as a piece that shows Britney’s fans just who she really is, saying: “The documentary had a huge role,” said Rudolph. “People were able to see Britney, to see her tell her story. I think they got the true sense of who she is, and they appreciated it.”
“People love Britney Spears.”
Barry Weiss, chairman and CEO of the BMG Label Group, which includes Spears’ label also had kind words about Britney, saying “This is going to reinforce her icon status. It’s not just a No. 1 album.”
